Biography
Shabina, RN, MSN, CPNP-PC is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Children’s Health with more than 30 years of nursing experience. She specializes in caring for children with acute and chronic gastrointestinal and liver conditions.
Shabina received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of British Columbia and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of California Los Angeles. She is licensed and certified by the Board of Nurse Examiners and the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners & Nurses.
Her professional affiliations include: National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates & Practitioners (NAPNAP), Greater Texas Chapter of National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates & Practitioners and The Association of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Nurses (APGNN).
Shabina has presented and lectured on chronic and complex gastrointestinal conditions such as constipation, chronic abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, liver related conditions and serologies. She is passionate about community service and volunteering. Shabina has traveled to and lectured at the Aga Khan University and Hospital in Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya where she shares her expertise in the field of complex GI conditions. She also participated in the recovery efforts as a result of hurricane Harvey. She speaks multiple languages including Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and English.
