How do I prepare my child for their procedure?
We’ll send you specific preparation instructions via MyChart that might include fasting or not drinking liquids after a certain time. We’ll also give you a call about one week before your child’s procedure to review these instructions, answer any questions you may have and discuss the arrival time for your child’s procedure.
What do I need to bring?
- Please leave jewelry and any valuables at home.
- If your child wears contact lenses, bring solution and a case.
- Pack a favorite blanket, pillow, toy or stuffed animal. Your child will be allowed to take this to their surgery/procedure.
- If your child has a favorite bottle or cup, please bring it with you.
- Pack a pillow/blanket for the car ride home.
