Biography
Kamel M. Itani, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Children's Health and a professor at UT Southwestern Medical School.
Dr. Itani earned him medical degree and completed his residency at American University – Beirut. He also completed specialized training in standardized ophthalmic echography, eye plastic, orbital and reconstructive surgery at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and UT Southwestern.
He is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, the Dallas County Medical Society, and the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Itani has been named a Super Doctor by Texas Monthly.
